Shoreline Cleanup

Greetings Ocean Lovers!

Ceilidh Area Girl Guides will be having a Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at the Port Morien Sandbar on Wednesday, May 16th at 6:00pm and we will need all the help we can get to remove waste on our beautiful beach. Cleanup supplies are being provided by the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and the Port Morien Pathfinders will be running the event! Please join us with a positive attitude so that we may prepare the Sandbar for the busy summer season.

Goals of this Project:

• Encourage youth to get involved in the community
• Create a safe and healthy environment for the animals that reside within the area
• Increase awareness on plastics and waste and their affects on our oceans
• Meet other environmentalists!
• Make the shoreline clean for the community
