The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) is the most important conservation program you haven’t heard of – conserving iconic federal lands like the Cape Cod National Seashore, Minute Man National Historical Park, and Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge; as well as countless state and local parks, ballfields, and playgrounds. We are pleased to be joined by Congressman James P. McGovern (MA-02), a champion of LWCF in Congress, for opening remarks on the program. Then, Emily Myron, government relations specialist, will share the story of the effort to make this program permanent, and Markelle Smith, landscape partnership manager, will share her work with a coalition of partner organizations who have used LWCF funding to help realize the vision of the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge.

Registration is required.
