The global coronavirus pandemic has been highlighting the important links between public health, economics, agriculture, and the environment. As coronavirus cases in Madagascar are slowly, but steadily increasing, the Duke Lemur Center SAVA conservation project has been adapting to the new challenges of 2020. Join this talk from DLC-SAVA Program Coordinator James Herrera for an update on the challenges this pandemic has presented for conservation projects in Madagascar, and to learn how on-the-ground DLC-SAVA Project Coordinator Lanto Andrianandrasana has persevered to continue serving DLC community partners by leading successful activities like environmental education, fish farming, and more.
