Join Dr. Victoria Arbour from the collection tower at the Royal BC Museum. Victoria, a vertebrate palaeontologist and evolutionary biologist, is the leading expert on the palaeobiology of the armoured dinosaurs known as ankylosaurs! With Victoria’s expert guidance we’ll examine some fossils and learn a bit about British Columbia’s newest dinosaur Ferrisaurus sustutensis, and how it got its name which means ‘Iron Lizard form the Sustut River’. Victoria will also share some of the methods for collecting dinosaur fossils and keeping them safe at the museum.
