To celebrate World Space Week on October 6, 2020, NSERC, the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), CCUNESCO and Little Inventors invite you to meet CSA engineer Taryn Tomlinson, who will talk about the multiple ways in which Earth observation satellites help us monitor and protect our oceans.

Space gives us a vantage point from which to look back at Earth. It helps us better understand the science of our planet, and find solutions to protect our environment, including our waters.

You will also learn about how you can take part in an extraordinary challenge called Little Inventors – Mission: protect our oceans, where you can come up with an invention idea to solve some of the most pressing problems faced by oceans. Your idea could become real!
