Humans are remarkable amongst animals for their adaptation to all regions of the earth. The last place to be inhabited was the Arctic. Often thought of as a desolate and extremely difficult place, the Arctic became home to the First Arctic People. In this place, they traveled and gathered with distant friends and family, hunted, gathered foods, and created myths, legends, and extraordinary art. The animals they shared the land and sea with allowed them to stay fed, warm, and equipped with all the tools they needed to remain in the Arctic for thousands of years. Join Dr. Patricia Wells for this engaging talk as part of our program series with the Arctic Institute of North America!
