We are excited to welcome Denise McDiarmid (Support Team Teacher, Hidden Valley Elementary School), George Bahm (First Nations Experiential Advisor), and Jesse Jewell (Experiential Education Curriculum Consultant) from Yukon Education. They will share about land-based learning and the importance of Indigenous perspectives from a Yukon context, and the story of how educators and students at one of the most westerly schools in Canada, Hidden Valley Elementary, embraced their Natural Curiosity journey through COVID-19.
Our intention is to create an online learning space for educators to share their authentic experiences and questions in a community of learners. We hope you will join us on February 18th as we look for opportunities to decolonize our practice and reconcile with the natural world through the four branches of Natural Curiosity.
We are again accepting limited registrations on a first-come-first-serve basis. To increase access we have set contributions on a sliding scale: $5 to $25. All proceeds will go towards paying our facilitators for their time and work, and creating more Natural Curiosity professional learning opportunities. Everyone who registers will receive the webinar recording, transcript of the chat, and list of resources following the webinar.
