Join the British Ecological Society and Linnean Society for a new and exciting two day online conference exploring career pathways, skills sessions and showcasing research

The Linnean Society and British Ecological Society are excited to announce tickets for the Student Futures and Research Conference are now on sale. 

Are you an undergraduate, Masters or PhD student and unsure of your next steps? Wondering how you can find opportunities and skills in the current climate? Interested in career pathways and hearing from current Masters and PhD researchers? 

In this two day conference, undergraduates, Masters and PhD students of the natural sciences are invited to engage with this online experience, showcasing the variety of careers available to students like you, interacting and networking with your peers and beyond, and having open conversations about pathways into research. 

Your £5 ticket will include an all-access pass to all talks, workshops and competitions, as well as a private Discord to facilitate open conversation between like-minded delegates and our speakers. 

Key topics: 

Thursday 4th March 10am – 5pm 

A range of talks, workshops and skills sessions providing an insight into your potential and career opportunities. Topics will include how to gain experience and skills in the current climate, how to write CVs, global challenges and how to make a difference. You will also hear from a panel to highlight potential career pathways. 

Friday 5th March 10am – 5pm

Hear from Masters and PhD students as they share their research project with you, providing an opportunity to engage with researchers in a friendly environment. Find out about their pathways to their research pathway and explore the options available to you if you were considering a similar career.
