Emily is a Canadian coral reef biologist (right?!) who investigates how tropical coral reefs are changing in the face of our climate crisis. She has more than 1,000 SCUBA dives on reefs in Kenya, Mozambique, Madagascar, Indonesia, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Borneo, the Bahamas, Belize, and more. She is passionate about combining underwater field surveys and working with local communities to reveal new solutions for coral reef conservation, and to achieve this she coordinates a global science and monitoring program as a lead scientist with the Wildlife Conservation Society. She is enthusiastic about all things coral reefs and science communication, and she has been featured on National Geographic, PBS Nature, CNN International, and more.
