The COVID-19 pandemic continues to pose unprecedented challenges to recreation, parks and community sport. The CPRA ReImagine RREC project has explored peer-reviewed Canadian and international research and survey data, and consulted with leaders from across the country on what’s needed to help the sector and your community restart, retool and recover.

In this webinar, you’ll learn about the essential findings from the ReImagine RREC project including:
-How COVID-19 has influenced people’s behaviours and expectations and how parks, recreation and community sport have surged in popularity.
-Current research on operational and facility design considerations to make programs and facilities safe for reopening.
-Innovative approaches to online and in-person programs and events.
-The impact of technology.
-Promising and ‘next’ practices from the field to help you renew, retool, engage and contribute to broader community recovery.

ReImagine RREC – Renew, Retool, Engage and Contribute – is a COVID-19 recovery initiative for recreation, parks and community sport leaders supported by the Government of Canada and delivered by the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association. The initiative is intended to help leaders working in parks, recreation, and community sport to improve planning,

The ReImagine RREC project is funded by the Government of Canada.
