UNEP is organising an event to host a discussion with young leaders and experts from across the G20 to discuss specific questions/recommendations for the G20 Ministers on how they could support these efforts.

This forum will explore how member states can support young people to learn, understand and grow an environmental mindset through formal and non formal education interventions and the role of working with youth to create green and circular jobs.

This event will host a discussion about the role of youth, government and higher education in this process. The event will kick off with a 30-minute discussion among G20 ministers, UN Environment Programme and EU representatives, moderated by young people from the Y20 to share their thoughts around some of these key themes. This discussion will be followed by three 30-minutes sessions focusing on the themes of formal education, non-formal education and building capacities to rewire the future.
