Steffi Arndt is the Senior Sea Ice Field Scientist from the Alfred Wegner Institute in Germany. She has participated in 9 ship-based and 2 land-based expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic, Steffi is incredibly passionate about sea ice, and will talk all about how it forms and why it is important to study. She is the first one onto every ice floe the expedition visits, and always the last one off the ice!
