Hosted by: Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants

Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants is teaming up again this year with Parks Canada and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society for a coast to coast to coast virtual road trip to national parks, historical sites and national park reserves! Each of the ten locations will have a live English and a French event: https://www.exploringbytheseat...

When planning for the future, sometimes you need to look back to the past. Come join us on the East Coast at Port Royal National Historic Site and Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, as we learn how Parks Canada is working to combat climate change! We’ll be going back in time to see how French settlers learned from the Mi’kmaq to survive the cold winter here in 1605, and we’ll see how we’re continuing to work with indigenous knowledge keepers today. What will we uncover, as we explore how history, climate science, and archaeology all work together to help us find a path (or trail!) forward?
