Join Families in Nature (FIN) for their condensed Guide Development Training Program!
During this online course, you will learn tips and tricks to confidently and comfortably lead groups of people in the outdoors, including topics like how to manage wildlife and weather, how to use nature as a tool to enhance your time outside, and how to incorporate all ages all together! This training is appropriate for anyone who wants to help get their family or community outside!
Completion of this training includes:
- Access to FIN's Ecologist School Guidebook featuring over 1,000 lessons across 16 branches of science including topics like: ornithology, paleontology, and climatology. These lessons are broken into categories including STEAM, outdoor skills, volunteerism, and leadership development.
- Access to FIN's Gear Library, which contains camping and teaching equipment that you are invited to borrow once in person programming resumes.
- 2 hours of TEA approved Continuing Education credit for participation in this course for Texas Educators
- Access to FIN's vibrant community of practice
- And more!
The class will be offered on Tuesday night from 7-9pm, Central Time on April 12th and will require some reading ahead of time.
