Birds aren’t the only animals that lay eggs! Stop by for this self-guided event and learn all about Mashomack’s egg-laying animals. Preserve staff will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with lots of fun items for you to explore. Get up close to a hummingbird egg and discover the many animals that lay eggs in our wetlands. There will be a collection-free scavenger hunt along our half-mile Book in the Woods trail; the trail will feature the beautifully illustrated story An Egg Is Quiet. Bring your observation skills and discover spring eggs and new life.
