Sandra does science experiments in the water and tells stories about nature. As a scientist, she has had the opportunity to do research in six countries on organisms as small as bacteria or mosquitoes and as big as fish and macaws. Sandra is passionate about cross-continental and cross-cultural collaborations in diverse ecosystems, particularly with African countries. When she is not in the field or in the lab, Sandra enjoys sharing her passion for science and water with diverse audiences, particularly with youth and individuals underrepresented in STEM fields or environmental sciences.
