Tim Jacob was a member of the Endurance22 Expedition that journeyed to the icy Weddell Sea off Antarctica in search of Sir Ernest Shackleton's lost ship, Endurance. Departing from Cape Town, South Africa aboard the icebreaker S.A. Agulhas II, Tim and colleagues used satellite photos to navigate the Weddell Sea sea ice, and then deployed state-of-the-art underwater robots to search the seabed 10,000 feet below the surface for the 107-year-old Endurance wreck.
