“Of Wisconsin’s 16-plus million acres of forest, only 26,000 acres are older than 150 years…,” according to author and Northwoods naturalist John Bates. About 500 of those acres can be found at TNC’s Guido Rahr, Sr. Tenderfoot Forest Reserve near Boulder Junction.
Take in the beautiful fall colors in the Northwoods with this rare opportunity to explore the Tenderfoot Forest Reserve. John Bates will lead this exploration of one of Wisconsin's few remaining old-growth forests and highlight the plants and animals that depend on this special place.
RSVP IS REQUIRED: Participation is capped at 15 participants. To register for the trip, email Ashley at ashley.flor@tnc.org. Include your full name, phone number, email address and total number of participants in your email.
