Beth is an animal biologist interested in vibration sensing of animals. She's been a researcher at the University of Oxford since completing her PhD in Zoology & Engineering in 2014. She has studied spiders and their silk, and more recently elephants and other animals. She also worked at the University of Bristol 2016-2018. She loves combining research on very different animals to understand unusual senses. She also has a mission to make more people respect spiders as nature's engineers!
