It's not easy to survey marine life in the ocean with our eyes, but as organisms pass through their environment they leave behind a genetic trace - environmental (e-) DNA - which can give us important information about the life that exists there and how it’s changing. Dr. Wing Chan and Dr. Alicia Bruzos, experts in e-DNA will show you how they are collecting and preparing water samples for analysis and how it will unlock the secrets of who's swimming beneath the surface ,as well as new insights into climate change and ocean health.
