"Redesigning for the people" has been at the core of the urban changes that have taken place in Tirana in the last few years. Adapting infrastructures to child friendly designs on the one hand, while prioritizing youth development on the other, have shown to be successful in making Tirana a better and more livable city for everyone alike.

Children and youth have been the strongest advocates of local policies on promoting sustainable modes of transport, creating more green areas, and opening up public spaces to build playgrounds or hubs of creative technologies to empower youth with 21st century digital skills. Having children and youth actively engaged by becoming lead examples in their communities has made Tirana a more humane, inclusive, and healthier city for every community whose needs it serves.
